We opened in 2007 and although it's called Posh Totty you don't have to be posh to shop here.
It's the style that is posh and not the price tag.
I can't stand pompous boutiques that make you feel uncomfortable and judge you the moment you walk in.
My aim was always to have a sense of humour and employ friendly staff with personality.
The atmosphere is that of an Aladdins cave.
Lots of glitz and lots to see and touch but because it's up the alley it feels like a secret that only you know about.
It's a special experience and with help on hand from our own in-house fashion stylist- Sara Darling, we are very lucky and so are our customers.
Posh Totty Designs has been used in the Guardian magazine, Jewellery Focus and Country Club UK magazine, Topshop, and at London Fashion Week's Spring/Summer 2004 and 2005 collections.
We also have celebrity clients including Davina McCall, Dermot O'Leary, Natalie Cassidy, and Sir Richard Curtis plus many celeb stylists.
We have also been found by the Brighton glitterati such as Zoe Ball and Erin o Connor.
Generally we attract fun loving girls who want to keep up with the latest trends but want something a little different than what's offered on the high street and with better customer service.
What we sell
We sell beautiful jewellery, dresses, shoes, handbags, plus many more accessories such as belts, mirrors, gloves and hats.
I like to use local designers as much as possible such as Lewes based Shoemissy shoes, Sugarhill Boutique, Yamama clothing and Marie walshe jewellery as well as our own personalised range of jewellery that is handmade above the shop in our studio.
Our prices start at £2.50 for butterfly hairclips and go up to £149.00 for a one-off silk dress that is made in Brighton by Daryl Black.
